dASHDOWN weathers a hurricane and delivers a raspy-voiced rhapsody with ‘Can’t Get Too High or Low’.   Dave Ashdown, previously with Waiting For Henry, has his third solo EP. This is his third solo release and features the songs ‘Hurricane Honeys‘ and ‘Miss Hucklebuck’ along with the title track.

Reflecting on writing and recording the song he says, “‘Can’t Get Too High or Low’ was written and recorded in and around Hurricane Adalia last summer, riding the storm out at my high school friend Tristan Forgus’s studio in Cortez, Fl.. The tune is about the daily struggle for balance and came about via a mid-life crisis that saw me leaving Chicago after 30 years to hit reset playing the tiki bars on the Gulf Coast. Adalia gave us the perfect excuse to hang out, decompress, write and, when the winds had died down, press record. Truth hits everyone.”

dASHDOWN will be performing a monthly residency at The Montrose Saloon in Chicago on the first Saturday of each month.
