Our new playlist of the best new Americana we’ve heard over the last month is out later today exclusively for AUK supporters which includes new tracks by Dean Owens, Fruit Bats, Hannah Rose Platt and BC Camplight among others, and nestling amongst the gold is a track from the new album ‘I Only See the Moon’ by AUK favourites the Milk Carton Kids, a record which you can win a vinyl copy of if you’re an AUK supporter. We gave the album a rather glowing review of that new record and said of it: “Their newfound confidence allows them to filter their more adult life experiences through their songwriting and musical skills to provide a new chapter in their story. If you are a fan of the band you will be very pleased, and maybe a little relieved, at what they have managed to achieve, and if you are new to their music then ‘I Only See The Moon’ is as good a place as any to acquaint yourself with their oeuvre.” If you missed them playing in UK last month then fear not, there is a God as the boys are returning to our shores early next year for a handful of dates including some oop north, hurray.
