Acclaimed Canadian singer-songwriter Joe H Henry has arrived on our shores for his debut UK tour, bringing his soulful brand of Americana and folk storytelling to audiences across Northern Ireland, Scotland, and England. Known for songs that dig deep into the human experience, Henry’s music blends Americana grit and gospel-sized emotion with a voice that’s been described as “as powerful as a freight train”, hard earned by years of singing over traffic on streetcorners throughout North America. Drawing from a life encompassing experiences from a homeless train-hopping youth to a homesteading father of five, Henry’s songwriting is thoughtful and his storytelling captivating, his depth of experience resonating in every line he sings and long after the final note.
This first UK run showcases material from his multi-nominated debut EP “Keep the Fire Burning” (2023), and features the newest work from his eagerly awaited upcoming EP “Real Things” already receiving critical praise, securing placements on SiriusXM North Americana and reaching #1 on the East Coast Top 30 and the Indigenous Music Countdown.
The tour kicked off in Belfast earlier this week and winds its way through Scotland and England, stopping in beloved grassroots venues, town halls, cafés, and house concerts—settings perfectly suited to Henry’s honest, story-driven songs.
