This new release from Rebecca Haviland and Whiskey Heart is a gutsy slice of the rockier end of Americana. It’s taken from the new EP ‘Early Mornings‘, which is a companion piece to last November’s ‘Late Nights‘. Connecting the two EPs is this song combining both titles for a punching powerhouse jam – as Rebecca Haviland says: “To me, this song is where the worlds of late nights and early mornings truly intersect -it’s those suspended hours when the world is asleep, and musicians are still chasing the magic.”
Rebecca Haviland has been making music for a couple of decades – making her live debut in New York’s legendary The Bitter End – a venue where Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan also made early appearances. She has been performing with Whiskey Hart for a dozen years now – a band which features Chris Anderson (Martin Sexton), Kenny Shaw (Dispatch), Todd Caldwell (Crosby, Stills & Nash), and Nicky Barbato.
When not on stage or in the studio, Rebecca Haviland has spent over a decade as a professor at Purchase College’s Music Conservatory, where she shares her industry insights and inspires students to push their creative boundaries. Makes a change from lumberjacking or some other Americana cliche.
