The Rotterdam Bluegrass Festval has announced the full list of acts playing the three-day event at the end of June. Rotterdam Bluegrass Festival is an easy-going and inclusive festival focusing on bluegrass and other forms of roots music such as country, folk and american and features thirty acts from the Netherlands and abroad, plus extensive side programming. Rotterdam Bluegrass Festival takes place on 28th-30th June and both day and weekend tickets are available for €15 and €40, respectively from the festival website.

Guido de Groot, director of the festival and programmer says “We hope to showcase a wide range of musical cultures within the festival format. Kader Tarhanine is the perfect missing link in this with his crossover of Western rock and traditional North African music. Additionally, the rock ‘n’ roll passion of La Perra Blanco was also something that has been missing, I am convinced that our audience will be pleased with this addition. And coincidentally, along with the equally talented Katja Kruit and Pieternel, she also helps boost the number of women in our lineup.”
The Rotterdam Bluegrass Festival also offers a variety of related programming, including theater, children’s activities, a jam area, comics, workshops, a market and numerous catering facilities. In the week leading up to the festival, various performances and activities will take place in the neighbourhood and the rest of the city.
