Well that’s it from us for another week dear reader. We leave you with a recent song from Alabama-born singer-songwriter Kashus Culpepper. ‘Out of My Mind’ was written by Culpepper himself with his producer Brian Elmquist (The Lone Bellow) and explores the aftermath of a tormenting heartbreak, providing him with a platform for his incredible voice before it takes a bluegrass turn halfway through. Culpepper recently played AmericanaFest in Nashville, and as the Opry website put it, “his husky, sandpaper growl bellows like a freight train over self-penned stories that are as raw and real as they are haunting.”
