Jenny Don’t and the Spurs give watchers a glimpse of life in the tour van in the video for ‘Pain In My Heart’. The video sees the band behind the scenes as they load in from their tour van for sold-out gig at a Honky Tonk. Last year Don’t and band won “Outlaw Group of the Year” at the Ameripolitan Awards in Memphis before joining Charley Crocket for a string of dates. That outlaw spirit is heard here, especially in the fine fretwork from guitarist Christopher March.
Describing the tune Jenny explains, “…draws from the timeless style of Johnny Paycheck and is my take on classic country storytelling. It’s all about that moment of reflection, where you realize you’ve messed up but still hold out hope for redemption. It’s like saying, ‘Yeah, I screwed up, but hey, I still love you.’ That’s the vibe – a mix of regret and optimism, just like those old-school country tunes.”
‘Pain In My Heart’ is the first single from the group’s forthcoming album ‘Brokenhearted Blue’ due on 14th June from Fluff and Gravy Records.
