The fabulous duo Larkin Poe have released another storming song in ‘Strike gold’.  Sisters Rebecca and Megan Lovell bring all their dynamism and character to this pulsing song.  Rebecca says of ‘Strike Gold’: “After years of being out on the road, this song feels emotionally anthemic.  Shout out to all the good souls out there who keep showing up for their dreams, even when the goin’ gets tough.”  It’s a powerful, electrifying blend of southern rock and blues, with pulsing percussion that really makes you want to move.  The highlight here is Megan’s searing, sliding lap steel that builds and releases tension so effectively.

This is the latest in a series of singles from the forthcoming album ‘Blood Harmony’, due out on 11th November.  Fans have also been wowed by ‘Georgia Off My Mind’, ‘Blood Harmony’ and ‘Bad Spell’, all of which promise an album full of energy and great hooks.  The sisters co-produced the album alongside Rebecca’s husband Tyler Bryant and the sound they’ve created is designed to fill stadiums: it’s forceful and intense while still full of catchy melody.  They explain: “When steering by your own stars, you never quite know where you’re going to wind up.  Our true north is unique to us, and in following our true north without compromise, we have been out freewheeling this world on the ride of our lives. And it still feels like just the beginning. Blood Harmony is a creative step we are proud to have taken together as sisters. We grew these songs in a sweet part of our hearts and we hope they bring beauty.”  This will be the sisters’ sixth studio album and the spark for their biggest North American tour yet – you can find tickets here.  Enjoy.
