A very happy Christmas to all our readers from all of us here at Americana UK

Well that’s it for us for this year – we will return on January 3rd hopefully bleary-eyed and hungover. Once again this year we have had the most traffic we’ve ever had for the website, and I do want to pass on my particular thanks to our team of Editors, Jon Aird, Paul Kerr, Andrew Frolish, Clint West, Martin Johnson, Emily Dongray, Rick Bayles, John Vaites and Tim Martin, along with all of our writing team who contribute to this site for the love of the music (and occasional free gig tickets). But most of all of course we want to say thanks to you, the readers, for your continued support, whether you’re an AUK addict or recreational user – we appreciate each and every one of you.

I leave you with a festive classic from the Fountains of Wayne which Father Christmas has still not granted me despite repeated requests. I did get a son though this year. You win some!  Have a peaceful Christmas if you can and all the best for the new year. Mark Whitfield, Americana UK Editor.
