Paul Thompson “The Clocks Went Back” – spring forward, fall back

We admit we’re late with this song, but that was inevitable really because, even with the gained hour of the end of British Summertime we were never going to be around for the posting date, which was 2AM on October 26th.  Which instantly became 1AM, but was still Sunday morning and as we’re certain you’re aware, we don’t do Sundays.  Or Saturdays for that matter.  Anyway, Paul Thompson has used the apparent time travel of the clock changing as a springboard for this new song which meditates on the meaning of space and time and how that relates to the birth and subsequent expansion of the universe.

Paul Thompson is a Norfolk based singer-songwriter, and an author having published in ‘Floating to the Fringe‘ the story of his 15mph Guinness World Record Breaking tour to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival which he undertook in his electric milk float Bluebell.  File under…slightly eccentric.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
