Well that’s it from us for another week dear reader, and what a track to leave you with this week. Yesterday morning I was listening to 6 Music (I’m learning to tolerate Nick Grimshaw by being slowly ground down) and out of the blue he played a track I hadn’t heard in so many years, ‘Comedy’ by the band Shack fronted by Michael Head which ushered in a wave of emotions at 8.20am and brought me to tears while I was eating my toast. If you’ve never delved into the album it’s from, “HMS Fable”, it’s a stone cold Liverpool classic to the point that it was the runner-up album of the year for both NME and Uncut in 1999. I think this video has been put together by someone but it’s actually rather lovely. I’m just sharing it as it’s a song which deserves to be better known. The band are actually on tour at the moment – you can find all the dates here.
We’re back from Monday with our own albums of the year and all the usual end of year roundups. Take care until then, don’t forget Palestine and keep fighting the fascists. See you next week.

Great track and Shack out on tour this week !
Thanks Keith, I will update the story to note this
