Well that’s it from us for this week, and we leave you dear reader with a new song from case/lang/veirs who have this week shared their cover of Patti Smith’s track People Have The Power which sadly carries as meaningful a message today as it did during the political upheaval ten years ago when this album was first released.
The supergroup recently announced the 10th anniversary edition of their 2016 album, case/lang/veirs, set to be released on 4th September via Anti- Records. Along with this announcement, they also shared a previously-unreleased track Accidental Tattoo. The edition features 12 live versions of each other’s songs, including Patti Smith’s People Have The Power that were recorded during the original 2016 tour.
In the meantime, Case is also the composer and lyricist for the forthcoming stage adaptation of Thelma & Louise: A New Musical, having been personally selected by original screenwriter Callie Khouri to create the score and songs. The production will make its world premiere this fall at The Young Vic in London, running from 3rd September through 24th October. Tickets are available from this link.
Take care, don’t forget Palestine and keep fighting those fascists. See you next week.
