Curtis Eller describes himself as a banjo player, songwriter and rock & roll singer, and you can see that trilogy of talents come together at a show near you from the end of this month when he arrives in the UK for dates around the country with his band. A twenty-year show business veteran, Eller and The American Circus have developed an international following based on their highly physical stage performances and a catalogue of curious recordings.
The American Circus is touring the UK in support of their latest album ‘A Poison Melody’ on which they have augmented their rock & roll rhythms with a cloud of horns and “a graceless choir of backsliders in their quest to bring Eller’s historically evocative compositions to vivid, cinematic life.” How can you resist that? This will be the first time the full US version of the band has toured Europe. The band features Curtis Eller, Dana Marks, Jack Fleishman, Hugh Crumley and Steve Cowles.
