Excellent guitar and catchy hooks are a feature, once again, of the latest video from Delta Spirit. Like the song, the video is warm, uplifting and emotional. It’s taken from the brand new album, ‘What Is There’, the band’s first full-length release in six years. The time apart and the effective blending of various influences, such as rock, Americana and psychedelia, has led to a focused new sound on the the impressively consistent album.
Frontman, Matthew Logan Vasquez, says of the new record: “I’m really proud of our body of work, but especially proud of where everybody has gotten to now. I have a lot of hope for us. I’m grateful for everyone in this band. There’s a lot of raw honesty in the music. It’s a record for right now, instead of pandering to the past. It’s the next step.” Indeed, the band have certainly moved forward and pushed themselves to create something vivid and striking. Enjoy.
