Scottish indie-folksters Frightened Rabbit have ripped into the Tories after last week’s election loss by sharing the new track “Fields of Wheat” on Soundcloud which asks: “Are you ready for the pinch you’ll feel, the fractured homes that will not heal?” Paying homage to TM’s answer to the naughtiest thing she’s ever done (arms sales to the Saudis must have slipped her mind!) they wrote: “We made this today. It felt like the song should go out now, because it’s about what’s happening now, it’s about where we live and if we waited too long the sentiment could go stale. We don’t want to be too descriptive or conclusive here, our only hope is that you listen, enjoy and share it.” The genre is tagged as “fuck the Tories.”
