Some people need to record more, and Toronto-based Barzin is one of those people. Last time we heard from him he was covering Jason Molina, that was way back in 2019. And here he is again covering a Sparklehorse song, whilst he works on his latest album due out next year. And, like the Molina cover we featured back in 2019 what can we say other than this is a stunning take on the song, imbued with endless layers of defeated melancholy. We feel glad that you’re getting to hear it, and not at all guilty that you could spend most of the day listening to it. Time well spent.
