Carter Sampson Announces UK Dates

carter-sampsonFive of them, to be precise. Carter Sampson, aka the ‘Queen Of Oklahoma’, has announced a short run of UK shows in January to tie in with her showcase at the Americana Music Association UK conference on Feb 1st. UK media support for Wilder Side, her fourth studio album, has been widespread with Bob Harris (R2), Ralph Mclean (BBC), Ricky Ross (BBC Scotland), Cherrie Mcilwaine (BBC NI), Iain Anderson (BBC Scotland), Bonanza And Son (Resonance FM), CMR,  all playing her album (but not at the same time). 

This year, she won first place in the general category of the Chris Austin Songwriting Contest at Merlefest in Wilkesboro, N.C. – with her song “Wild Bird”, which was additionally released by Pinecastle Records.   Those dates before the AMA-UK conference:

27th Jan – The Hut, Corby
28th Jan – Dorset Arms, East Grinstead
29th Jan – Tea Tray, Southsea, Portsmouth
30th Jan – House Concert, High Wycombe
31st Jan – Prince Albert, Brighton
