Counting Crows are back with a new EP – Listen to the first song from it

After an absence of nearly seven years now (maybe they broke a mirror and didn’t want to risk it?) our favourite avian musos Counting Crows have announced their return with a new EP oddly titled ‘Butter Miracle, Suite One’. Produced by Brian Deck, the four-track, nineteen-minute suite is set for worldwide release on May 21st via BMG and you can pre-order it here.

The first single, ‘Elevator Boots’, is described as “a glam look at life on the road in a band, awash in the thrill, the isolation, and the cleansing power of rock and roll.” Written by lead singer Adam Duritz whilst living here in the UK over the last year, the track “personifies what it means to spend your life tuned into the one thing that means the most to you even as, at times, it leaves you a little out of tune with the rest of the world.” And let’s face it, that’s not been difficult recently. Here’s the tracklist for the EP, and that new song.

“BUTTER MIRACLE, SUITE ONE” TRACKLIST

2. Elevator Boots
3. Angel of 14th Street
