Margo Cilker “Keep it on a Burner” – floating on a stream of consciousness

Margo Cilker is set to return with her highly anticipated sophomore LP ‘Valley Of Heart’s Delight’ on September 15th via Fluff & Gravy Records  or our dear friends at Loose here in the UK, and she’s now released into the wilds the album’s second single ‘Keep It On A Burner’ with some soul-lifting trumpets – and let’s face it, we do not have enough trumpets in the world of Americana. Of the track, Cilker offers: “‘Keep It on a Burner’ is a stream-of-consciousness reflection. Fittingly, I started writing it while floating down the Salmon River on a whitewater rafting trip full of rattlesnakes and wildfire smoke. I think of it as a song about playing the long game and pursuing your heart’s delight, despite life’s winding waterways.”
