Midwestern Mrs “Could’ve Been” –

Could’ve Been‘ is the new single from Midwestern Mrs (aka Georgia Evans) – it’s a contemplative acoustic song of regrets and acceptance of a situation that could have been…otherwise.  ‘Could’ve Been‘, it’s clear, could have been better – “could have been something but you tore me apart / wouldn’t be so lonesome / wouldn’t have to try and fill that void / with everything and nothing that I once enjoyed.”

Midwestern Mrs is a singer-songwriter who primarily writes Americana style music. She finds inspiration in the world around her and the evolution of narratives both real and imaginary.  In school she studied both archaeology and museum work, but more recently has been shaking off dust writing music whilst living in southwestern Ohio with her husband and two children.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
