Moonshine Brigade “Storm” – not all that is done is gesture only

When faced with the disaster-level impact of a Hurricane like Helene there are a couple of things one can do.
Maybe you could tell lies about the disaster relief available in a cynical self-aid your own political campaign way.  Or….Or you could say that help’s great but realistically it isn’t going to solve everything so maybe the community should show some solidarity and help to find the extra that will inevitably be needed.

So Brad Fielder of the  Brad Fielder Junk Band has organised a fundraising album, available through Bandcamp, called ‘The Hell of Helene’ and amongst the twenty five featured songs is this apt one from Moonshine Brigade.

All proceeds will be directly donated to the United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County’s Hurricane Helene Relief Fund.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
