Our new playlist of the best new Americana we’ve heard over the last month is out later today exclusively for AUK supporters which includes new tracks by Alison Krauss & Union Station, Chris Eckman, Jade Turner, Sam Outlaw, Charley Crockett and Gary Louris among others – basically we trawl through the best Americana we’ve heard recently so you don’t have to. And our giveaway this month is two tickets for one lucky supporter to see renowned folk singer-songwriter Kate Rusby live just as she’s set to release her highly anticipated new album, “When They All Looked Up”, on April 25th via Pure Records (look out for our review later this month). This marks her first collection of brand-new material outside of her Christmas albums in six years. Featuring a mix of original compositions and reimagined traditional songs, the album showcases Kate’s signature warmth, storytelling, and unmistakable voice, which remains as beautiful as ever, over 30 years into her music career. The album ticks all boxes, from intimate acoustic arrangements to rich, immersive soundscapes that envelop the listener, all combined with some excellent production.
Fans can also pre-order the album through Kate’s official website, with exclusive signed copies available for both CD and vinyl. Kate Rusby will take to the road in April and May with dates below and tickets available from this link.
You can become an AUK supporter for as little as £2 a month for which princely sum you will receive a monthly exclusive supporters playlist along with being entered into our monthly prize draw. Thanks for your support.
