Looking at that band photo (left to right we have Alexander Burke, Adam Silvestri, Brian Viglione) we can’t help but think of one our favourite lines from ‘Almost Famous‘: an impassioned Russell asks the world “is it that hard to make us look cool?” Well, we’ve never had that much truck with being cool ourselves – us, well we’re all about the music and Radiator King deliver a Tom Waitsian portion of Americana on their new song ‘Hammer & Nails‘. And that’s not so surprising as Brian Viglione was the drummer in Dresden Dolls, and if you’re wondering about those funky keyboards well Alexander Burke played with Sharon Jones, so that makes sense. It’s a sound that’s a new direction for Radiator King which for most of a decade was Adam Silvestri, and a rotating cast of band members. The reborn power-trio: guitar, keys and drums are now a steady band line-up and are looking into the, probably quite dark, future.

His first release since 2017’s ‘A Hollow Triumph After All’, Silvestri has established himself amongst the latest wave of earnest songwriters who have been brought up on punk, but perform Americana-inspired rock and roll and this…
We are delighted to premiere 'Gospel', the latest video release from Radiator King. Featuring a strong acoustic strum, rolling piano and the characterful, melodic vocal of Adam Silvestri, this is a song that brings to mind Brian Fallon and The Gaslight Anthem. This stripped-back version is even more emotive thanks…
Boston's Adam Silvestri (AKA Radiator King) is the type of musician this feature was pretty much designed to accommodate. A road dog, traveller, essentially a musical explorer both sonically and literally, Silvestri spends many many hours on the road, clicking up the miles and cranking up the toons. His latest…
Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
