We hate to be the bearers of more bad news with everything else going on in the world at the moment but another UK festival has fallen by the wayside. This time it’s Red Rooster which was due to have taken place on 28th-30th May 2026 in Suffolk. Here is their statement in full:
“We regret to confirm that Red Rooster Festival, scheduled to take place between 28–30 May 2026 at Euston Estate, Suffolk, will no longer be going ahead.
Red Rooster has been a much-loved festival over the past 12 years, shaped by its community, returning supporters, artists, traders, crew and the very special setting at Euston Hall.
However, due to a combination of reduced ticket sales, rising operational costs and ongoing financial pressures, it has not been possible to secure the funding required to deliver this year’s event. These pressures have been compounded by the increasingly challenging environment for independent festivals, including inflation, higher fuel and transport costs, supply chain pressures and the impact of cost-of-living challenges on audiences.
The directors explored all available options, including seeking additional funding, external investment and further cost reductions. Despite those efforts, the position became unsustainable and the festival is no longer financially viable.
Opus Restructuring & Insolvency has been engaged to advise the directors, with a view to placing the company into Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidation.
We understand how disappointing and disruptive this will be, and we sincerely apologise to everyone affected.
We are working directly with SeeTickets to confirm the next steps for ticket holders. Customers do not need to take any action at this stage and will receive further information as soon as possible. For all other enquiries, please contact redrooster@opusllp.com.
Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.”
