North Carolina singer-songwriter Shay Martin Lovette paints a gentle picture of a ‘Dark November‘ on his latest single taken from the EP ‘True As They Come’, which is set to be released on April 26, 2024.  Expectations are undone as for Lovette there’s a lot to appreciate in the late Autumn – the daylight may be scarce but there’s a lot of beauty in the world nonetheless.

Recorded in the intimate settings of Studio Homestead and the Rubber Room, ‘Dark November’ not only signals the seasonal shift but also marks the start of a new chapter in Lovette’s musical narrative. With contributions from Alexa Rose and talents from Mipso and Hiss Golden Messenger, the track promises an authentic taste of the artistry to be fully revealed in the upcoming EP.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
