Well that’s it for another week dear reader. We will see you in London tomorrow if you’re down for the next national Palestine demo, or you can find what’s happening local to you here, but in the meantime, we leave you with a new song from the unbelievably prolific and talented Drew Danburry whose Icarus Phoenix project has given us some of the most consistently emotive music of recent years.

Drew formed Icarus Phoenix in 2020 and the band have been through various line-up changes while releasing three epic studio albums. “When I look backwards, it isn’t envy, it’s not regret” Danburry sings on ‘Necessary/Painful’ which is taken from the new EP ‘Son’, which was released last month and deals with the heartbreak of divorce and leaving his son with his former wife to move across the country because of a housing crisis.  The band have a busy 2024 ahead, with six singles, an EP and a full-length album all due out this year – the one thing you can guarantee is that it will all be great. Have a good one comrades.
