Something for the weekend: Mariel Buckley “Neon Blue”

That’s it from us for another week dear reader, not exactly a week anyone in the UK will forget in a hurry. We leave you with a cracking song – as an LGBT editor of a music website which covers one end of country music, a traditionally quite conservative genre when it comes to minorities, it’s always lovely to see out country musicians grace the pages of this site, and so here’s a video from an album I can’t stop listening to by Calgary’s Mariel Buckley, and which we recently described in our AUK review as “gritty, candid, heart felt and shot through with heartache.”  It’s oddly the second track by a country singer to be released this year called ‘Neon Blue’ (and who can forget the Steps classic of the same name?) but for my money the best one. Take it easy everyone.
