Something for the weekend: The Attention Seekers “Your Poster on My Wall”

Well that’s it from us for another week dearest of readers. If you’re an AUK supporter, your new monthly playlist will be arriving at 5pm tonight (and if you’re not but read AUK regularly, please consider becoming one). In the meantime, we leave you with a new song from the always welcome around these parts Attention Seekers.  Songwriter Alan Fish told us: “Back in the 70s when touring rock bands ruled the earth, it was a rite of passage for us young disciples of rock to bunk the day off school, head to the venue (Newcastle City Hall) and hopefully be selected by the road crew to help with the load in and load out. In return, access to the soundcheck and the possibility of meeting our heroes. ‘Your Poster On My Wall’ is dedicated to road crews past and present, the brave young fans who ‘bunked the day off school’ and to the memory of Free’s brilliant young guitarist Paul Kossoff.”  With vocals by Sam Blewit, the song has a real drive to it and as always Alan Fish’s production and guitar makes it sparkle.

As always, please support your local Palestine action if you can this weekend. Take care and see you on Monday.
