The owners of the multi-award winning Black Deer Festival have announced the launch of Black Deer Live, a series of one-night shows starting this April showcasing the best in Americana music at grassroots venues across the UK. Events in London, Manchester, Liverpool and York are just the start of the journey designed to expand the Black Deer brand, showcasing artists who are up and coming on the Americana scene. Black Deer Live will be working in partnership with concert promoters TALENTBANQ, Brighthelmstone, Desertscene as well as the brilliant Union Chapel. It will also be crossing the pond later this year with shows announced in New York and Florida and more to follow.
The organisation have also announced the creation of Black Deer Radio supported by Nation Broadcasting and Head On Media. Aimed very squarely at bringing Americana to a wider audience as well as bringing the best live performances, headliner interviews from this year’s festival. Black Deer Radio will be live and direct across DAB, Streaming but no exact date is confirmed. Watch this space!
Speaking on the announcement, Chris Russell-Fish Managing Director said “You’ve been asking us to bring Black Deer Festival to a wider audience, beyond the three-day festival based in Kent. And we’ve listened. With Black Deer Live we hope to welcome fans from across the globe to the Black Deer family, introducing them to the best talent in this incredible genre”. Black Deer’s Festival Co-founder Gill Tee will be heading up the Creative Production for Black Deer Live & Black Deer Radio added – “It was always the vision to create a brand that was not limited to one festival. We can’t wait to take Black Deer on tour this year, supporting some of the greatest grassroots venues across the country and giving incredible emerging and established artists more opportunities to showcase their talents both live and on radio.”
