The AUK judging panel have deliberated and have now given their verdict on the Top 3 in The Twang Factor 3. Starting today with third place we will reveal our top 3 selections over the course of the following two days.
In third place the judges chose Norfolk singer-songwriter Lucy Grubb.
Lucy has already released three well received EP’s all of which are available in digital or CD format from Lucy’s Bandcamp page. Lucy has already gained a growing reputation for her excellent live shows. She has made appearances at a number of UK festivals and some of you may have caught her set at this year’s Black Deer or Red Rooster Festival. For the Twang Factor 3 Lucy recorded an exclusive version of her song ’18 Miles’ which was filmed in the Norfolk countryside.

[…] This March, a group of fine singer-songwriters will be hitting the road together, performing solo and in collaboration with one another, and delivering a unique experience for music-lovers. Annie Dressner, Lucy Grubb, Dan Wilde and Luke James Williams are all well-regarded musicians in their own right and what they have in common, aside from the quality of their acoustic performances, is a shared love of timeless songcraft. Between them, these artists have released critically-acclaimed albums and EPs and have appeared at various festivals, including Glastonbury, Cambridge Folk, Green Man, Red Rooster and Black Deer. And, of course, Grubb recently took third place in our very own Twang Factor contest. Check out her competition song, recorded exclusively for AUK here. […]
