Chrysalis Records is set to release five cd deluxe set ‘The Magnificent Seven‘ on December 3rd. So named for the number of The Waterboys musicians during this time, the five discs chronicle the eighteen months leading from 1989 album ‘Fisherman’s Blues‘ to 1990’s ‘Room to Roam‘. These discs include live shows, demos, radio sessions, backstage recordings, jams, and rough mixes and, lastly, the album ‘Room to Roam‘.
The behemoth bundle includes a 240-page hardback book, written by band member Mike Scott, detailing this period of the band and a DVD that contains a Glastonbury performance, a documentary, bootleg videos, and home movies made by the band.
