Uncle Lucius, the powerhouse band from Austin, Texas, announces “Live in ‘25”, a new live album recorded during a sold-out two-night stand at the legendary Gruene Hall earlier this year. Supported by independent music and finance company Duetti, the album is set for release on November 21, 2025, with its first single, ‘Let Me Get a Lengua Plate,’ out today – watch it below. The album is steeped in Uncle Lucius’ signature blend of country, swamp rock, and americana, and captures the raw, communal energy that has defined their live shows for so long. The album features live tracks, four newly penned tracks, and Uncle Lucius favourites, including their platinum single, ‘Keep The Wolves Away,’ which was featured in the series “Yellowstone”.

“Live in ‘25 found us during a reflective moment, both on our own career and the long arc of Texas music, “ says the band. “Getting the opportunity to record it at Gruene Hall, a venue so ingrained in our story and Texas’ history, felt like a homecoming and a love letter to live performance.”

The live setting potentially propels the band into new sonic territory, where guitar solos weave through organ lines, all grounded by Galloway’s signature, gravelly vocals. The album also features a cover of Bobby Charles’ ‘Save Me Jesus’ and marks the first-ever release of four fan favourites: ‘Let Me Get a Lengua Plate,’ ‘Got Some Coming,’ ‘Say There Sunshine,’ and ‘Mississippi Dive Bartendress.’ And by partnering with Duetti, the independent music and finance company, Uncle Lucius has been able to expand its mission of bringing people together through music by reintroducing the band’s live energy to both longtime fans and new listeners.

The Austin-based band—Kevin Galloway, Joshua Dane Greco, and Drew Scherger—returned to the Hall, the site of both their 2018 farewell and 2023 reunion, to honour its near 150-year legacy. As Galloway says, “Performing live is our lifeblood.
