We’re always happy to share new material from Newcastle’s Attention Seekers who have just realised a superb new song recorded in the Cluny Studios there. Lead singer Alan Fish told us: “Having personally worked in the TV & Film industry I can safely say that there is no shortage of songwriting material on any film set. This song is dedicated to those unsung heroes, the background action actors and in particularly to my friend Joe. Joe’s simple philosophy is “keep out of the spotlight and play the long game”. Joe has enjoyed over 30 years of regular employment in this field and in his own words has “never worked a day in his life”.” Oh to be that fortunate. The track features the highly talented Niles Krieger (from The Often Herd) on some really nice fiddle and mandolin, Fish on vocals, guitar and bass as well as Trevor Brewis on drums and Tony Davis on accordion, and was engineered by Tony Davis and Lisa Murphy. It’s available as they say on all the usual download /streaming platforms.
