Video: The Hanging Stars “Let Me Dream of You”

The Hanging Stars finish the year with this epic-sounding song.  Full of thudding drums and sweeping guitar, ‘Let Me Dream of You’ soars, like a dream flying into the cosmos.  There are gorgeous four-part harmonies and stirring musical interludes, including warm, fuzzy guitars and superb solo work from Patrick Ralla.  The highlight is Joe Harvey-White’s pedal steel that transports us and the song somewhere heavenly.

The single is taken from the forthcoming album, ‘On A Golden Shore’, which is due for release on 8th March 2024.  Last year’s ‘Hollow Heart’ was terrific piece of work that earned the cosmic-country group the Bob Harris Emerging Artist Award at 2022’s Americana Music Association UK Awards.  Singer and guitarist Richard Olson notes that ‘Let Me Dream of You’“…sets the tone of the record quite well in terms of a heartbreaky bravado.”  ‘Let Me Dream of You’ is the second single and opening track from the new record, a collection of songs that shimmer with psychedelia and a loose, instinctive sense of musical exploration.  This could be a (very) early contender for 2024’s album of the year.

The band will be sharing the new material during a series of shows across the UK in the spring of 2024.  Check out the dates below – should be a treat.
