Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter has announced the release of her debut album “Cry Baby” on 11th October 2024 via Lauren Records. Arielle was born and raised in Los Angeles. After high school, she embarked on an artistic adventure at the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) where she immersed herself in a dynamic community that nurtured her creativity and inspired her to “push the boundaries of her musical expression.”
Influenced by artists such as Lomelda, Pinegrove, Slow Pulp, James Taylor, Jesus and Mary Chain and Brian Eno, Ariella’s music is described as “a rich blend of styles and sounds” some of which she developed during a year-long period in Nashville where she was able to take in the city’s rich roots music scene. This added a new dimension to her music, marked by storytelling and acoustic harmonies. Looking ahead, Ariella says she is determined to push boundaries and blend genres.
Ariella’s debut album, “Cry Baby”, is described as “an exploration of life’s emotional depths, drawing from personal experiences like heartbreak, evolving friendships, and the loss of her father. Each song expresses her vulnerability, earning the nickname ‘Cry Baby’ for her raw honesty and emotional candour. The album invites listeners into Ariella’s life experiences from heartache to healing.” “Cry Baby” is described as “an intimate diary of her life lessons, kept secrets, and deepest feelings which will draw listeners in with its sincerity and depth.” You can pre-order the album here.
