Rain Parade, possibly the pre-eminent Paisley Underground band,  have announced the release of a deluxe, two-disc edition of their 1983 debut album “Emergency Third Rail Power Trip” via Label 51 Recordings on 13th December 2024, along with a new digital single of two new songs: ‘Surprise, Surprise (Bubba O’Riley Remix)’ b/w ’Bee and His Buzz’. Rain Parade are also currently in the studio recording material for a brand-new album set for 2025 with tour dates to follow.

The original album was remastered by Rain Parade producer Jim Hill in 2023 and there is a second disc full of rarities. The gatefold album jacket and CD packaging have extensive liner notes and photos. This 2-disc set is said to be the definitive remastered collection of the original five-piece line up (including Steven Roback’s brother David and keyboardist Will Glenn) with a whole second disc of stray tracks, demos, live nuggets – all gathered together for the first time – many of which most fans haven’t even heard.

“Going through the band’s archives to compile bonus tracks for our debut album, which is a deluxe edition of our Enigma Records album “Emergency Third Rail Power Trip”, we found a full-album’s worth of demos, live tracks, rehearsal demos and 4-track versions, and it is longer than the original album,” said Matt Piucci.
