Neil Young heads up new UK americana chart

Neil Young’s new collaboration with Texas country rockers Promise of the Real has the highest new entry in the new official UK americana chart, knocking Frank Turner off his perch and down into the doldrums of number 7.  Chris Staplegun also enters the chart in style at Number 2 with “From a Room-Vol 2.” No other new entries in the top 40 this week but there’s big placings for Robert Plant (who?), Van Morrison (who?), War on Drugs and Glen Campbell.  You can watch Neil with the Promises on a track from the new record below, “Already Great.”
