Sometimes the accidental pairings that Songkick offers up in its Email Headers are bizarre – and we’ve featured a number of those already. And sometimes they truly are a perfect Dream Team which would make for a memorable gig as a full sets from each artist Double Header. And none more perfect can be imagined than Courtney Marie Andrews and Bob Dylan – it’s so perfect that you’d imagine that it has already actually happened, but apparently no. Not yet.
Other than the obvious synchronicity of the artists, Courtney Marie Andrews has recorded many Dylan covers and is on record as holding ‘Blood On The Tracks‘ to be her favourite album (at the time of that particular interview at least) and she has said that she would “stand on Bob Dylan’s coffee table, and tell Bob that he’s the greatest songwriter of all time.” What Dylan thinks of Andrews is not on record, but we’re willing to bet that he digs her – we know he has good taste. Whether he actually has a coffee table to stand on…that we do not know.
