Something for the weekend: Lucero “Raining For Weeks”

Credit: Jamie Harmon

Well that’s it for another week dearest reader. Congratulations again to all the winners for the UK americana awards last night, and a special congratulations to Ralph McLean from BBC Radio Ulster who won the grassroots award, something we took away ourselves in the heady pre-Covid days of 2020 which now of course seems like a lifetime ago. He is a well-deserved winner – as is everyone of course! We leave you with a new track from Memphis rock/alt-country band Lucero ‘Raining for Weeks’ taken from the upcoming album ‘Should’ve Learned by Now’, which lands on February 24th via Liberty & Lament/Thirty Tigers. With a soulful piano and a plucky acoustic guitar, the song offers a meditative rumination on mistakes made and love lost. Have a good one.
