James Deely “A Harder Road” – By the grace of God we go

James Deely has been playing music for years, first along the Jersey shore, then South Florida, then Los Angeles, and then this year via a tour of Ireland. He’s just released his ninth record “Songs from an Irish Funeral” and in January he travels to Nashville, TN to record with award-winning producer, Doc Holiday. Of his new song ‘A Harder Road’, James told us: “Me and Johnny called up James Dalton Riley, stuffed some dirty laundry in our suitcases, grabbed our guitars, packed up a bunch of songs, and headed off to Ireland! In Dublin, the Gaelic Funkstress, Paula Ryan jumped up on stage for a couple of songs, and we had one hellava hooly right there on the River Liffey!

When we came back to the States, me and Johnny went into the studio and recorded all of them as “Songs For A Irish Funeral”. This record is dedicated to all our friends and family back home in Ireland. You mean so much to us – we can’t wait to go back home again. Special thanks goes to Adam Vacarelli and Bruce Tunkel, By the Grace of God We Go, Seamus Padraig.”

James Deely’s new record “Songs For A Irish Funeral” is available exclusively from Bandcamp here.
