Video: Palomino Kings “Never Wanted to End Up This Way”

UK band Palomino Kings are known for producing Americana with a gritty edge.  ‘Never Wanted to End Up This Way’ is a perfect example of their forceful roots sound.  Performed live to capture the feel of their energetic performances, the song is a moody return from the Suffolk Kings.

There’s a typically powerful rhythm driving the song, which builds towards an explosive crescendo with crunching chords and a searing solo.  Gavin Bowern delivers a heartfelt vocal that is full of anthemic drama in the rousing chorus.

The single is taken from the band’s forthcoming debut album, due for release on 20th May 2024.  Recorded live in a boathouse on the picturesque Orwell estuary in Suffolk, the record is full of atmosphere and energy, reminiscent of classic rock and roots sounds from years gone by.  Enjoy.
