Based in the US Northwest, Jenny Don’t and the Spurs have spent over a decade building a global reputation as hard-working stalwarts of the country and western scene, with dynamic music that also acknowledges their roots in garage rock and cowpunk. The Spurs have just announced a series of UK tour dates for 2025.
The Spurs’ fourth album, “Broken Hearted Blue”, which was released in June 2024 (Fluff And Gravy Records) has gathered a lot of praise from critics. AUK’s Helen Jones described it as “a confident album from a band who know exactly who they are and showcase it with aplomb”. You can see the video for the title track below.
The Spurs played Germany’s prestigious Static Roots festival over the summer and were well received with our reviewer noting: “The mutant country with attitude (they call it North Western Western) was exactly what the crowd required, as the ghost of Duane Eddy and his twang looked over their shoulder”.
The band is currently touring in North America and has dates planned in mainland Europe over six weeks in the autumn. They will visit the UK in February 2025, with fourteen confirmed shows already on their itinerary. Head to her site for tickets.
