Echo Valley “Crabbuckit” –

Some bands would have gone for the easy choice – The Andersons – since Echo Valley are a family affair:  Elizabeth Anderson on lead vocal and acoustic guitar, Olivia Anderson (banjo) and Emily Anderson (fiddle) on harmony vocals, and a talented lineup featuring Dave Anderson on dobro, Emmaline Anderson on upright bass, and Dolly Anderson on mandolin.  They’ve been playing since 2009 and have a retro Bluegrass image coupled to some more modern sensibilities in lyric and vocal stylings.  ‘Crabbuckit‘ is the latest single from their album ‘Leave You Behind‘ and it displays their musical talent and their vocal slipperiness off to great effect.  The song was written by Kevin Deron Brereton.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
