Only Child “That Fateful Day” – experiencing the grace grief can bring

We are always happy to support local acts around these parts, and so we’re delighted to share that Only Child have dropped the final song before their long-awaited fifth album lands in March. ‘That Fateful Day’, a nice little rocker driven by acoustic guitars and violin was written by singer/songwriter Alan O’Hare and produced by Jon Lawton at Liverpool’s Crosstown Studios. The forthcoming LP ‘Holy Ghosts’’ follows critical acclaim for Only Child’s tenth anniversary-celebrating ‘”Looking Forward To Looking Back – A Decade Of Only Child” LP release and sold-out shows at Tate Liverpool and Prohibition Recording Studios.  “Your past walks beside you every day,” says songwriter O’Hare, “These songs are an attempt to stop time for a moment and allow those left behind to experience the grace grief can bring.”

Only Child play The Music Room, inside Liverpool’s Philharmonic Hall, on Thursday March 20th. Tickets are available from this link.
