Midwest singer-songwriter Joyann Parker will be releasing her latest album “Life Lines” on 27th March 2026. Blessed with a strong expressive voice in a blues / R&B vein, Parker’s previous albums have achieved some success reaching the Billboard blues charts. “Life Lines” finds Parker prioritising honesty over polish, delivering songs deeply connected to her own experiences. The album represents her evolution as an artist not defined by genre, in which she is inspired by the stories of lives, in memory, and in the lines of age. “It’s a reminder that getting older is a gift,” Parker says. “Every line has a story, and I’m learning to wear mine with gratitude.”
“Life Lines” draws some of its feel to inspiration from artists of the 1970s including Tom Petty, Linda Ronstadt, Van Morrison, and Albert King. Fusing soul, rock, blues, and americana, “Life Lines” is described as showcasing some of Parker’s “most emotionally honest songwriting to date.” The album forms a collection of songs built on resilience and connection, exploring the invisible threads that carry people through hardship and healing.
Recorded with her touring ensemble, ”Life Lines” captures the trust and musical chemistry of the Joyann Parker Band. Parker leads on vocals, guitar, and piano, supported by Mark Lamoine (guitar, backing vocals), Tim Wick (keyboards), Scott Graves (horns, percussion, backing vocals), Chris Bates (bass), and Bill Golden (drums, backing vocals). Co-produced by Parker and Kevin Bowe, with Lamoine as executive producer, the record was crafted at The Kill Room and mastered by Bruce Templeton at Microphonic. Parker has released ‘Got Love’, as the lead-out song from “Life Lines”. It is a vibrant anthem driven by lively grooves and her soulful voice. Inspired by a close friend’s journey to healing, ‘Got Love’ is an uplifting song of hope and resilience that moves the body, lifts the spirit, and reminds us of the good that still exists in the world. It has been described as “… an up-tempo rocking ballad about the importance of love regardless of what path we’re all on… lyrics speak to everyone… full bodied and soulful, conveys warmth and true soulfulness.” Parker herself adds, “‘Got Love’ is about choosing hope — even when things feel heavy. Watching someone I love fight their way back reminded me how powerful love can be when it’s steady, patient, and real.”
