Christian Gisborne is, in a Captain Manyhands kind of way, the singer/songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist behind the Velvet Starlings name. ‘Sold Down the River’ is impressive enough with it’s hints of Animals or Eric Burdon enjoying San Franciscan nights, but add in that Christian is fifteen years old and it’s pretty remarkable: barring disasters this is a guy we’ll hear from again.
