Robert Vincent “This Town” – Listen

It’s been quite a ride for Robert Vincent from winning the Bob Harris Emerging Talent Award at the Americana Music Association UK awards in 2016.  That award led on to appearances at Americana Fests  – both the “proper one” in Hackney and the American one, in Nashville (well you can’t have everything) – and on the one off Old Grey Whistle Test Revival.  And he got signed to Thirty Tigers and released an album ‘I’ll Make The Most Of My Sins’’ which did pretty well.

This new song, released as a single today, was produced by Brit Award winning Ethan Johns, and is the first new release since the 2017 album.  Speaking of the song Robert Vincent has said “The song came about from my frustration with the realisation that whichever way people decide, rightly or wrongly, and mainly politically, their decisions are largely being manipulated by social media.  The old days of small-town talk have gone, it is now a global town. Sadly, it has created division, in ‘This Town’ and everyone’s town.

As we all know albums follow singles like day follows the dawn, so watch this space for more news as soon as we have it.  At the moment we an say that Robert Vincent is about to set out on an Autumn/Winter UK tour  with the following dates.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
