Devon Sproule announces UK Tour

Devon Sproule is amongst the finest singer-songwriters active today, with an instinctive feel for the music which frames her incredible lyrics.  There’s something of a jazz feel to her, something of a folk artist cutting a new and far more interesting path through other people’s expectations.  She can rock some too.  Devon Sproule is something special – we’ll brook no argument.  No argument.  No brooking.

So with that settled it’s more than a pleasure to be able to pass on the information that she will soon be gracing this green and pleasant land once more – yes, that countenance Divine will shine forth amidst the gloom of what will doubtless be a cold and damp March.  But what care we for weather when we have a Devon Sproule tour to look forward to?  Exactly.

Oh – and the good news does not stop there – the tour is called The Gold String tour – by a huge coincidence, the kind of zappity-zap coincidence that we love – Devon Sproule is also releasing an album with that very same title and also in this very same month of March.  We know, weird,  Spooky even.  Suffice to say we have goosebumps just thinking about it.

Sure, I could climb high in a tree, or go to Skye on my holiday. I could be happy. All I really want is the excitement of first hearing The Byrds, the amazement of decades of Dylan's music, or the thrill of seeing a band like The Long Ryders live. That's not much to ask, is it?
