Video Premiere: Carl Street “Bunking the Midnight Train”

The new single from Carl Street brings Johnny Cash to mind and could have been written any time in the last seventy years.  There’s a real old-time, traditional, earthy quality to the song, which is accompanied by a charming video, directed by and starring Street’s brother, Zachary.  Though it’s upbeat and humorous, this bluesy country number tackles more serious issues, including mental illness.  The single is the title track from his upcoming album, which will be released on 31st January.  On the new album, the multi-instrumentalist showcases a range of styles and genres – it’s one to look out for.  Watch the video and tap your feet!
