No, this isn’t a cover of the Bowie song – we’d quite like to hear that, but it won’t be this time. But things are being all shaken up in the Chatham County Line camp. Firstly founder-member and banjo player Chandler Holt is leaving the band. Secondly the band sound for their latest album, ‘Strange Fascination‘, includes drums across all the tracks.
It also features vocals from Sharon Van Etten’s on the title track – and that’s the first guest vocals in the history of Chatham County Line’s recording career. ‘Strange Fascination’ is out on Yep Roc on May 15th, and Chatham County Line can also be heard on ‘Winter Tales‘ the recent collaboration with Judy Collins and Jonas Fjeld. These are new and heady times!
